Our Commitment to Green

Here at Pruett Publishing we believe in doing what we can to minimize our impact on the planet.
- We start by selecting titles that we think will be books that readers will want to keep in a library and not discard.
- Our printers use either recycled paper or Forest Stewardship Council certified papers (http://www.fsc.org/) on at least half of the books that we produce, and that number is increasing every year.
- Mountain Press Publishing (http://mountain-press.com/) distributes our books to bookstores, commercial accounts and individuals, and if you have ever received a shipment from them you know they are recyclers.
- Lastly, we publish books that have a strong environmental ethic. In 2011 we will be publishing a children’s coloring book detailing the endangered animals of Alaska, and in 2012 we will be publishing a memoir of a political activist who works with the Buffalo Field Campaign.
