A brief look at modern trout fishing literature shows that we, as fly fishers, have adapted well to catching trout in still waters ranging from beaver ponds to large impoundments, including the Great Lakes. While the methods and patterns presented are simple and can be used successfully on just about any stream where you might find trout, they are specialised — specialised in the sense that they involve specific water types. Of all the varieties of trout fishing available, this book focuses only on the fast-water stretches of rivers and streams and the use of nymphs in fishing these areas.
About the Author
John Tedesco has nymph fished for more than 20 years and has taught and used his techniques with a high level of success. He has earned degrees in biology and zoology and has published a series of scientific publications in various scientific journals. He resides in eastern Pennsylvania a short distance from a wide range of quality nymph fishing waters.
